FAQs

1. When is the bar exam offered?

The bar exam is offered twice a year, in February and July. Since the MBE is a standardized exam used in most jurisdictions, it is always administered on the last Wednesday of February and July.

2. Can I take two states' bar exams concurrently?

That depends on the "state specific" day. The majority of states administer their state section on the last Tuesday of February and July. However some states offer their "state specific" day on the last Thursday of February and July, allowing a candidate to sit for two exams concurrently, requiring three days of testing.

3. Why do I need a bar review course?

It is nearly impossible to accumulate the necessary materials, prepare a 2-month study plan and discipline yourself to accomplish this task without a review course. Additionally, most law students could not take all topics tested on their state's bar exam in law school. Even if a student did study a bar topic in law school, it is generally taught from a different perspective than how it is tested on the bar exam. Enrolling in Encompass provides the experience and expertise of bar exam professionals. These professionals know what areas are tested on the bar exam and how these areas are tested.
